Today we have been sent a few photos of a stunning wedding in the West Scottish Highlands. Kilchrenan is a small and picturesque village that overlooks the ‘awe-some’ Loch Awe, and is also the location where our featured couple, Sam and Nathan, were lucky enough to get married.
Wedding photographer Hannah Morris had a few things to say about the couple:-
“They were such a great couple to work with. They let me suggest things and get creative and they came up with ideas themselves as well. Sam and Nathan were married at Ardanaiseig Hotel at Loch Awe -the staff are so amazing there.”

I’ve photographed a bride at a fire station, one in a swimming pool and even a bride taking her horse for a paddle in the sea.”
That’s great, and some lovely photos too. Do you, as a wedding photographer, have a favourite wedding location or experience?
“It has to be the Island of Easdale. It is the smallest permanently-inhabited island of the Inner Hebrides, off Scotland’s west coast and it covers an area of less than 24 acres. The wedding took place outside in the sunshine with turquoise sea glistening and stunning views as a backdrop. The couple were very much in love and we just had fun.”
Highland Scotland offers a selection of particularly interesting and picturesque locations for a marriage celebration. The multitude of lochs and dramatic countryside present the perfect backdrop for the perfect highland wedding.
