Knebworth Park : Liz and Tom’s beautiful wedding

Hello, and welcome to The Wedding Photography Secret. Today we’re featuring a real wedding from a lovely couple who got married in Knebworth Barns at Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire.

Photographer Becky Kerr, who was featured on the magazine here a few weeks back, was lucky enough to capture their wedding.

Taking full advantage of the stunning weather, newlyweds Liz and Tom’s wedding transport of choice was an amazing horse and carriage. The bride and groom had a few words to say about their interesting day:-

“Becky Kerr was a fantastic wedding photographer, and our photos are great! We got married on 15th October 2011 at Knebworth Barns, in Hertfordshire.

We didn’t have a particular theme – just a bright purple colour scheme and our love for stargazer lilies.

‘Midsummer Murders’ were filming at the venue at the time – not actually on our wedding day – so we had some photos on set; the ones with the guns and in the tent.

It was always my dream to arrive in a horse and carriage and my dream came true! My husband and I also had a 20 – 30 minute ride around the grounds of Knebworth Park in the carriage, after the ceremony.

I lived in South Africa for five years when I was younger, so we had some African dancers perform after the wedding breakfast.

I am a dance teacher, so didn’t want to do a boring and traditional slow First Dance, so I choreographed a fun First Dance for us, which involved my three bridesmaids, the best man, two ushers, and the bride and groom – it was hilarious – and now features on YouTube!”
